Even if all Rajapaksa members leave the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and join the new party under the symbol of the flower bud, she will never leave the party, said Mulkirigala SLFP organiser Nirupama Rajapaksa.
“I am not in the habit of hopping from one party to the other. I am a loyal Sri Lanka Freedom Party member. Hence, I will never leave this party or demean this party,” she said.
“I have always engaged in politics with the Leader of the SLFP Maithripala Sirisena. I am not sure if former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will leave the party and join the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, but even if he does, I will not leave,” she said.
“I will continue to work for the party and ensure the party’s victory in the Hambantota district, Nirupama Rajapaksa further stated.
