Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse protesters in Colombo Fort, a short while ago.The protestors are agitating a government move to ender into an agreement with China on the development of the Hambantota port.
The protest was organised by the Federation of Trade Unions to Protect Harbors.Lotus Road was closed this morning due to the protest.
