Jayanthi Kuru-Uthumpaala became the first Sri Lankan to climb to the summit of Mount Everest earlier on Saturday, May 21.
The news was confirmed by the Everest Support Team. Meanwhile, Johann Peiris is currently making his bid to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
Mt. Everest located between Nepal and Tibet is 8,848 metres or 29,029 feet above sea level.
