Health and Indigenous Medicine Minister Rajitha Senaratne yesterday told Parliament that there were now about 2,436 HIV infected persons in Sri Lanka.
He was responding to a query raised by Matara District UNP MP Buddhika Patirana.
Thirty one AIDS related deaths had been reported during 2015 and from 2011 to 2015 there had been146 reported deaths, the Minister said.
