The Presidential Commission investigating the Central Bank Bond Transactions fraud, yesterday (6) severely warned former Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Arjuna Mahendran.
The former Governor of the Central Bank had obtained permission from the Commission to watch the proceedings of the Commission, while evidence was being obtained in his capacity as a lawyer.
While the Commission was listening to evidence being given by a witness against Mahendran's actions, the former CB Governor was observed operating a Smart Mobile Phone continuously. As a result, Senior Supreme Court Judge and Chairman of the Commission K. T. Chithrasiri warned him severely.
