Four members of the same family, including a pregnant woman, were injured when the motorcycle they were travelling on, collided with a vehicle allegedly owned by the son of State Minister Palitha Range Banadara. Police sources said, the family had been rushed to the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital after their motorcycle collided with a cab in Anamaduwa, late last Monday (24).
According to the Police, the minister's son and a few others were in the cab at the time of the accident.
The accident occurred on the Inginimitiya-Palugolla Road, near the first kilometre post, at Maha Usa Wewa in Anamaduwa.
Kurunegala Teaching Hospital sources said the family included a 7-year-old daughter, 4-year-old son, the father and the pregnant mother. The Police are conducting investigations.
