Price of a liter of kerosene oil was reduced by Rs. 5 as of yesterday's mid night. Accordingly, a liter of kerosene has to be sold at Rs. 44. Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake proposed in Budget 2017 to reduce price of kerosene by Rs.5 with effect from January 2017.
The Finance Ministry has informed the Petroleum Corporation about the price reduction.
