Police said that gunshots had been fired at the vehicle in which Dr. Sameera Senaratne, CEO of SAITM, was travelling last night. However, Senaratne escaped without injury.
The shooting had taken place at Chandrika Kamaratunga Road, about 700 metres from SAITM College. Police say that the attack was carried out by two persons, wearing face masks, on motorbikes.
They fled the scene after the shooting.
The bullets have hit the front and back doors of the vehicle. The incident had taken place when the CEO was on his way home after work. Police have deployed two Police teams to investigate.
