The Colombo Crime Division arrested two more suspects, in connection with the abduction of a resident of Dematagoda. The suspects are both supporters of parliamentarian Hirunika Premachandra

The reports relating to the investigation conducted by the Colombo Crime Divison were also forwarded to the Attorney General.
A 34-year old man employed by a textile shop in Dematagoda was abducted in a Jeep belonging to Hirunika Premachandra on December 20th.The abductee had been taken to MP Premachandrans Office in Kolonnawa.
The victim stated that he was threatened by the MP in her office and that he was later assaulted by her body guards. The suspects have been placed in remand custody until 4th January.
MP Hirunika Premachandra was questioned twice by the Colombo Crime Division following the incident.However, the MP, who has been found to be directly connected to the incident, has not yet been arrested.
