Videos surfacing from the ground showed protestors carrying the wounded and rushing them to the hospital, with one protestor alleging that the police were to blame for it.
Following this, protestors have now surrounded the Rambukkana Police Station and are hurling stones at the building.
Earlier in the afternoon, police had shot tear gas on the protestors to disperse them after they were protesting for 15 hours against the fuel price hike.
