Videos have emerged on social media showing SDIG Deshabandu Tennakoon being attacked by protestors demanding an explanation as to who gave orders to attack protesters yesterday.
The assault had taken place down Perahera Mawatha in Colombo today (10).
Protesters were seen chasing his vehicle with helmets and gunshots were fired into the air to disperse the crowd attacking SDIG Tennakoon.
