Two persons including a Police officer have died following clashes reported in Colombo yesterday.
The Police officer was attached to the security team deployed to Temple Trees.
The Colombo National Hospital said an 80-year-old also died upon admission to the hospital. He has reportedly died of a heart attack.
Accordingly, the number of persons who died following clashes reported across the country yesterday has increased to six.
Meanwhile, 218 persons have been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital following clashes reported opposite Temple Trees and Galle Face Green yesterday.
